This week, the Duke Blue Devils began their summer practices. It was the first chance for the team to gel together on their quest for a 6th national championship. Day 1 was about shooting, finishing at the rim, and all out competition.

The 2nd workout was the combine test, where the strength and conditioning coaches put the team through several tests to gauge their abilities. They will do the same tests at the end of the summer to see how they have improved, but it’s also a test to see where each player is in terms of strength, speed and agility.

As you can see, some of these players can get in the air. Zion Williamson broke the all-time Duke record for the vertical leap, and a lot of the players are showing signs that this team will be ready to play. The team heads to Canada next month for exhibition games in Toronto and Montreal, and this seems to be a team that will grow together as they approach that trip. #EarnEverything is the hashtag of the season, and this team is ready to do just that.
Finally, if you’re not following Duke Men’s Basketball on Twitter and Facebook, you should be. The videos will keep you hyped and ready for the season to start. The team may have their #SI6HTS set on trying to raise another national championship banner in Cameron, but they will work hard to earn it all.
