Here’s some recruiting updates focusing mostly on Caleb Foster and Mackenzie Mgbago who were both just in on visits.

Foster is a 6-5 point guard from Harrisburg, near Charlotte, and a key target for Duke.

Like everyone else, Mgbako wasn’t seen on the circuit last year but people are catching up and now, depending on where you look, he’s a Top 5-15 recruit.

Mgbako is 6-8, still slim but versatile and developing an all-around game. Check out what he told “Coach Scheyer was the one who reached out to me and we’ve had good contact. For him to reach out knowing he’ll be the head coach felt really surreal I didn’t believe it. I’m just living my dream right now.”

The question of course is what’s his dream: being recruited by lots of schools? Or did he hope for Duke?

Also, Duke has an in-home coming up with Derek Lively. A lot of people favor Kentucky in that race but given what Scheyer has done so far we wouldn’t underestimate him.
