Here’s some recruiting updates focusing mostly on Caleb Foster and Mackenzie Mgbago who were both just in on visits.

Foster is a 6-5 point guard from Harrisburg, near Charlotte, and a key target for Duke.

Like everyone else, Mgbako wasn’t seen on the circuit last year but people are catching up and now, depending on where you look, he’s a Top 5-15 recruit.

Mgbako is 6-8, still slim but versatile and developing an all-around game. Check out what he told BreakingBrackets.com: “Coach Scheyer was the one who reached out to me and we’ve had good contact. For him to reach out knowing he’ll be the head coach felt really surreal I didn’t believe it. I’m just living my dream right now.”

The question of course is what’s his dream: being recruited by lots of schools? Or did he hope for Duke?

Also, Duke has an in-home coming up with Derek Lively. A lot of people favor Kentucky in that race but given what Scheyer has done so far we wouldn’t underestimate him.
