As basketball season draws ever closer

Duke and the ACC announced the ACC portion of the schedule Thursday.

Duke will have home-and-home series with Clemson, Florida State, Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest and, as always, UNC.

The one-offs will see Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State and Virginia Tech visit Cameron while Duke will visit Boston College, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame.

This is of course Coach K’s final season so that means that the games at Clemson, FSU, Syracuse, Virginia and UNC will be especially intense. You can check the dates below but the one you’ll want to know is this: the second UNC game will be at Duke.

There may be some sort of acknowledgment of his retirement and contribution to the ACC and college basketball - basketball in general for that matter - maybe a rocker or two he’ll decline to sit in (we can’t imagine that he would anyway) and then it’s back to business as usual: beat each other’s brains in.

There is nothing like ACC Basketball.
