Seth Curry Goes Hollywood

Sort of anyway

This is nothing huge but a pretty cool thing nonetheless: Seth Curry is going to be in an Adam Sandler movie.

It’s called “Hustle,” and aside from Curry, Sandler has enlisted the services of Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, Tyrese Maxey, and Philly coach Doc Rivers, too.

Apparently he also put out a call for some talented extras who should get the thrill of a lifetime playing, if you don’t mind stretching the term a bit, against NBA players.

Sandler of course is a basketball junkie. He’s put basketball courts in several movies now and while he’s no great shakes personally, he clearly loves the game.

There was a great scene in the movie Uncut Gems where Kevin Garnett came into a jewelry store owned by Sandler’s character, among others.

In that movie, and some others notably Spanglish and Funny People, Sandler goes far beyond his usual goofy, adolescent character and finds some real soul as an actor.

We don’t know if this movie will go in that direction, but it’d be fun to see if Curry gets some lines, maybe even a humorous dig at big brother Steph.

We’re also not sure when, but you can catch it on Netflix sometime soon.
