Recruiting never stops, and one of the names that keeps popping up is GG Jackson.
A 6-8 forward out of South Carolina, Jackson was an early target of Syracuse, as this article from Inside the Loud House says, but he’s blowing up a bit and now Duke and UNC are involved, and so is Virginia.
He’s also got offers from N.C. State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh and Boston College, among others.
Historically, Duke has not recruited well in South Carolina. In fact, we can only think of one kid from the Palmetto State who chose Duke, but he's a pretty good one: Zion Williamson.
It’s possible that like Christian Laettner, who inspired JJ Redick to pick Duke, and others who may have (or might soon) pick Duke because of Redick, Williamson will have an impact in South Carolina and beyond for the Blue Devils.
