JJ Redick is between jobs currently and considering his options.
That’s a fancy way of saying at the moment, he’s unemployed - but not for long.
But that’s not to say that he doesn’t have some income pending.
Apparently Redick won some money off of Mavs teammate Luka Doncic in cards this past season and since Doncic just signed a massive contract extension with Dallas which will pay him $207 million dollars over the next five years.
And Redick, who is a pretty funny guy, wants his cut.
Specifically he wants the money he won playing cards, which was $1,700. So he tweeted this reminder to Doncic: “Still owes me $1700 from cards. Please @CashApp me @luka7doncic”
It’s not much but it’ll pay for something until he signs his next contract.
And while he hasn’t made his final decision yet, the general feeling is that he’ll end up with either Brooklyn, New York or possibly Philadelphia.
