Duke Recruiting: JJ Starling Intel

Could three schools have a lead?

Here’s an article from InsideTheLoudHouse.com about the recruitment of JJ Starling.

A 6-0 guard who hails from Baldwinsville, New York, he plays at LaLumiere School in Indiana, not far from Lake Michigan and the Michigan state line.

Baldwinsville is about 13 miles upstream from Syracuse. You could probably raft down Seneca River and across Lake Onandaga and you’d pretty much be there.

So surely Syracuse is going to be interested. But they were interested in Greg Paulus too and he chose Duke. Of course the schools went toe to toe for Joe Girard too, and he of course stayed home in upstate New York.

So it’s tough to say at this point what Starling (2022) will do. But apparently Eric Bossi, thinks that Syracuse, Duke and Stanford are going to be factors.

That suggests that he’s a serious student and if that’s the case, then Duke and Stanford have stuff to offer that Syracuse doesn’t.

But it’s still very early so unless he makes up his mind faster than we could reasonably expect, we’ll just have to wait.
