One of the smartest things Duke Basketball has done is to move past the media filter and tell stories itself.

This started during the most intense period of Duke Hating when it began to really take hold far more than anyone expected. We can understand being sick of a dominant team - who wouldn’t be? - but it got worse than that for a while.

So Duke did a lot of things to put players front and center, including letting them hold the camera and mics and be the narrators and interviewers themselves. Marshall Plumlee, in particular, had a flair for it.

Anyway, here’s a slice of Duke Basketball life with freshman Paolo Banchero. And we have to say, it looks like a pretty good life. Aside from the success on court, Duke players have a lot of very nice perks. It’s a pretty amazing life for someone who has only been driving for two years.
