On our second NBA draft preview episode, Jay Bilas is back on the Duke Basketball Report Podcast to discuss former Duke guard DJ Steward, who dazzled in his one season in Durham, but who is not currently projected to be picked in the two rounds of the 2021 NBA draft, scheduled for next week.

We start with a quick question for Jay about how teams are approaching draft preparation this year following the disrupted COVID season, but then we get into DJ Steward’s draft prospects. DJ’s size is going to be a challenge, but he proved this year that he was a good defender, scorer, and team player. His combine performance was also somewhat underwhelming, leading Jay to see DJ more as a G League player, at least for the immediate future.

Stay in touch with us at dbrpodcast at gmail.com, and we will be back soon with a preview of Jalen Johnson’s draft prospects.
