ACC Recruiting: Pitt, Wake Forest Pick Up Big Men Transfers

Both are intriguing and could be useful

Two notable ACC transfers (in) to report.

First, Khadim Sy is back in the conference. He started at Virginia Tech under Buzz Williams, then transferred briefly to Tallahassee Community College briefly before returning to the Hokies.

Then he left again for JUCO Daytona State, then transferred again to Ole Miss.

Now he’ll be a Demon Deacon.

We don’t think he ever played for TCC, but five schools just might be a record.

And Jeff Capel looks to have picked up a useful player for Pitt as 6-9 Mouhamadou Gueye comes over from Stony Brook. He was the Defensive Player Of The Year in the America East so presumably he’ll be able to help shore up Pitt’s front line.

Jeff Capel told Pittsburgh Sports Now that “Mo is a terrific athlete with a defensive mindset and a strong all-around skill set. We love his competitiveness and ability to play above the rim on both ends of the floor. He gives us another versatile, experienced forward who can help impact winning.”
