As Boston’s Coaching Search Continues, Kara Lawson’s Name Is Still In Play

We’ll just have to see how this turns out

Duke women’s basketball coach Kara Lawson came to Duke from the Boston Celtics, where she was highly respected. With Brad Stevens moving up to replace GM Danny Ainge, Lawson has been mentioned as a replacement. Former Celtic Brian Scalabrine thinks she's likely to be hired.

As far as we can tell though, which is just reading the Boston media, Chauncey Billup and former Florida State guard Sam Cassell may be the leading candidates. Current Boston assistant Jay Larranaga, son of Miami coach Jim Larranaga, is also getting a lot of mentions.
