Duke Will Get Ohio State In The ACC/Big Ten Challenge

Duke will get Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge this fall.

The teams don’t play often and haven’t played for a good while - nearly a decade - and Ohio State is a very well-coached team that will be, well, a challenge.

Things may change between now and then but from here, there are some interesting games. We’d like Virginia over Iowa, especially at home. Notre Dame vs. Illinois? Right now the Illini.

Clemson at Rutgers is a tough call, we never bet against Duke, FSU at Purdue is too close to call this early, Minnesota has a new coach and Pitt has issues, so we’ll hold off on that one, but we’ll take the ‘Cuse over IU.

Steve Forbes is trying to build fast and Chris Collins may have some talent. We’ll have to look closer later.

Same for Wisconsin at Georgia Tech. We’re inclined to take Louisville if only because Michigan State always starts slow. Miami over Penn State, Michigan over UNC, but we might change that one, NC State over Nebraska and Virginia Tech over Maryland. Terp fans no doubt were hoping for Duke, UNC or Virginia, but they haven’t done well enough to merit those opponents and Duke would nix it anyway. Wait until they find out that the Hokies are very dangerous.

  • Duke at Ohio State
  • Florida State at Purdue
  • Minnesota at Pitt
  • Indiana at Syracuse
  • Northwestern at Wake Forest

Wednesday, 12/1

  • Wisconsin at Georgia Tech
  • Louisville at Michigan State
  • Miami at Penn State
  • Michigan at North Carolina
  • Nebraska at NC State
  • Virginia Tech at Maryland
