Rising big man Kyle Filipowski tweeted out Monday that he was “[h]umbled and honored to receive an offer from coach Krzyzewski, coach Scheyer and Duke University!“

Congrats to him and we’d love to see him in Cameron.

We didn’t know that he has a twin brother, Matt, who is an Inch taller at 6-11. We’re sure various people are offering package deals, a la Horace and Harvey Grant.

Speaking of Filipowski, he features prominently in this article about NIL. It came out before Monday’s news that the NCAA will jettison rules against it, at least for now, on Wednesday. It could still be voted down but that would be a disaster. Then again, the NCAA has shown if it can do anything, it can shoot itself in the foot.

Check out what he said about NIL: “Wherever I go, it’s going to be pretty much the same. It’s something to help the players out. I know how I look at it. Getting paid for me is a free education. Obviously, some extra benefits for the players is very helpful and courteous.”
