Duke Recruiting: Dereck Lively Cuts His List

As three ACC schools are still in play

Highly sought after 2022 big man Dereck Lively has cut his list down to seven and Duke is still in there. Here’s the finalists as of now:

Final Seven

  • Duke
  • Florida State
  • Kentucky
  • Penn State
  • North Carolina
  • USC
  • Michigan

You’ll note that there are three ACC teams with UNC and Florida State joining the Blue Devils. Other formidable competitors include Kentucky, Michigan, where head coach Jalen Howard has really caught the attention of young players, and USC which has had recent success with big men, specifically the Mobley brothers. Penn State may seem like an outlier but it’s a home state school so that makes sense if he wanted to stay close by.
