Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown Give Boston A (Hopefully Brief) Nightmare

This is just one of those things that can be minor or possibly devastating.

NBA: Portland Trail Blazers at Boston Celtics

Talk about a nightmare scenario for management: in Boston, young stars Jaylen Brown and former Blue Devil Jayson Tatum had a collision while playing defense and both had to leave the game.

Tatum walked off on his own, although with a limp, while Brown got help from a couple of staffers. Both headed to the locker room and did not return.

After the game, coach Brad Stevens had this to say: “they certainly weren’t swollen or anything like that yet, but that can happen overnight. We’ll see how that plays out here. I’ll have more information for you on Tuesday.”

From the cheap seats out here in Internet Land, it doesn’t look like a big deal although Brown was already dealing with an ankle issue.

Still, you never know until the medical people are done and for Boston, losing one of those two guys, much less both on a single play, would be devastating.
