Duke target Patrick Baldwin will announce his decision on Wednesday live on SportsCenter at 10:30 AM.
According to David Thompson of the Fayetteville Observer, he’s down to Duke, Georgetown or Milwaukee, where his father, Patrick Sr., is head coach.
Lots of rumors have swirled lately so there’s really no way to know yet exactly what he’ll do and certainly he could surprise everyone and do something completely unexpected.
Even so, it’s nice to think, that whatever happens, that everyone who has gotten caught up in this will have some resolution in less than 24 hours.
A 6-9 forward, Baldwin is a tremendous shooter and ranked #4 in his class, for whatever it’s worth, which isn’t much. Guys are still developing and character really matters as does desire.
A guy we once knew who played D-II ball at Bakersfield said that you’d be amazed how many big guys really didn’t like the game that much. Clearly, Patrick isn’t in that class but some of the guys who are coming up now like the game less than others love it, and that is a factor when the talent starts to rise.
