Some seriously amazing NBA plays

There are people who think that basketball players are just big guys who can dribble and shoot and things more or less happen by chance.

Most of you don’t have to be told that’s ridiculous. The game takes a lot of discipline to master and you have to pair that with a high talent level to make it look easy.

It’s not easy at the most basic levels and it’s certainly not easy at the highest possible levels. Some of the stuff in this clip is just ridiculous.

You’ll see instantaneous reactions, brilliant reflexes and superb anticipation on this clip and it does at times look easy.

But of course it’s anything but, which is true of anything at a high level: people who are really accomplished at something can make it look easy but it rarely is.

So it is with these plays. We don’t see the thousands of hours of refinement that lead to these artistic accomplishments. All we see is the brilliant polished gems that all that work led up to.
