If you watch old TV sitcoms long enough you’ll eventually see a bunch of episodes of women watching soap operas, eating snacks and sniffling. The husband will wander through and say something like “I can’t believe you’re watching that ridiculous show.”
Later he’ll be watching himself, eating popcorn and saying, “no, no, don’t do that!”
That’s what recruiting has become for some in the 21st century and lately it’s been the Trevor Keels Show.
The outstanding shooting guard from Paul VI Catholic High is a major Duke target. The primary rivals for Keels are believed to be Virginia and Villanova, while Kentucky crept in for a time but is now believed to have faded.
Lately there was a bit of hysteria about Villanova moving up but now the Crystal Ball has Duke back in the lead.
It’s all a bit ridiculous, honestly. Everyone would love to get a recruit like Keels, but the constant back and forth about where guys will go and the breathless reporting about a possible change in sentiment just gets silly.
In this case, the link comes from Kentucky.com and the one thing you can say for sure is that the Wildcats-oriented site pretty much rules Kentucky out, which is good because if prevents us from eating popcorn and saying, “no, no, don’t do that!”
