Poll: Who You Got Now That Duke Is Out?

We’re just curious to see what people are thinking

As you know, Covid-19 knocked Duke out of the ACC Tournament Thursday and A.D. Kevin White announcing that the season was over as a result, Duke fans have to find someone else to pull for.

So we thought we’d do a poll to see who you guys are following.

Some of the things are obvious like our ACC stablemates. We figured we’d leave UNC off for obvious reasons but everyone else who could make the field is listed.

We also listed Creighton, mostly for former Blue Devil Alex O’Connell, and the two North Carolina teams that have already made the field, UNC-G and App State. If Elon had made it, and they just missed, we would have certainly picked them since head coach Mike Schrage used to work for Coach K at Duke and then Johnny Dawkins at Stanford and is a genuinely good guy.

There are some other options as well.

As for us, we’re going to pull for Virginia Tech and Michigan. The Hokies are an interesting and exciting program, when they avoid weapons charges anyway, and we really admire the job that Juwan Howard has done. It’s so good, in fact, that it’s gradually overcoming our 29-year disdain for Michigan’s Fab Five that Duke PUNKED every time.

Sorry about that, coach! Old habits die hard. Carry on.
