Two Dukies in the NBA updates as Mason Plumlee has a career accomplishment and Grayson Allen has a funny moment.

Plumlee first.

As you may remember, he’s an excellent passer and has always been a willing one. He knows how to hit an open guy or a cutter for an easy basket.

Yet he’s never had a triple double in the NBA - at least not until Sunday night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans when Plumlee, who will be 31 shortly, became the oldest player to get his first triple double with 17 points, 10 boards and 10 assists since Patrick Ewing did it at 33.

And for the other note, Grayson Allen has taken plenty of criticism since his Duke days but in this case, he’s not the one getting criticism. Instead, check out Allen’s face after this play by LeBron James.

James, who has said on occasion that he’s no flopper, really had a hilariously transparent flop on this play against the Grizzlies. Allen get the rebound on a miss as James “falls” after being next to Memphis wing Dillon Brooks, who turns and laughs after the ridiculous flop. Check out the expression on Allen’s face as he comes down with the ball.

The NBA has warned James and teammate, Kyle Kuzma, about flopping and fines may be in the offing if it keeps happening.

Kuzma was warned after this laughably bad flop in the Memphis game, also against Brooks by the way, pirouetting all the way out of bounds after his jersey was brushed.
