YouTube Gold: Some Really Promising Freshmen Are Getting Started

This should be a fun season for young guns

There are several celebrated recruits who are making their debut this fall. We’re familiar with Paolo Banchero of course but there’s also Chet Holmgren, Patrick Baldwin and Emoni Bates, to name three.

They’ve all made their debuts at their respective new schools so let’s take a look:

Chet Holmgren debuted against Eastern Oregon with 17 points and eight rebounds and showed off his ballhandling and passing skills.

In Memphis, Emoni Bates had 12 points in his debut and looked very fluid against Lane College. He missed the first exhibition with a deep thigh bruise so he may still be limited.

At Milwaukee, Patrick Bates showed off a gorgeous shot in an exhibition win over D-III Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Also, Kennedy Chandler debuted for Tennessee and it looks like we’d better keep an eye on his teammate Brandon Huntley-Hatfield.

There are some really outstanding freshman this year so it should be a ton of fun.
