Here are two more player profiles from the Duke Chronicle. The first is a look at freshman Trevor Keels while the second features Joey Baker.
The sense here about Keels is uncertain but since Covid disrupted high school basketball and player analysis, and we haven’t seen him play to speak of, a lot of people might be uncertain.
Everything we’ve heard so far indicates he’s going to be pretty good.
Most everyone is more familiar with Joey Baker who is a senior now. Here’s a freaky stat that we never thought we’d see or relay: Baker is the only Duke player who has every played in the NCAA tournament.
Whoa!
That’s actually a bit shocking. Damn that sorry-ass Covid anyway.
Baker came to Duke as a shooter and has developed into a reasonable defender and a solid all-around player. From what we’ve seen he appears to be in the best shape of his life and ready to make it a big year.
