Basketball season is coming to life in a lot of ways. Practice has started around the country and of course ACC Tipoff is slated for Tuesday.
But the nicest thing in our opinion?
Cameron Crazies lining up to get tickets for Countdown to Craziness.
There were the traditional complaints about line monitors and a lot of students ended up not getting any at all.
That’s probably an early indication of ticket demand in Mike Krzyzewski’s (don’t go there) season as Duke’s basketball coach.
Still, the Crazies will be able to get in when the actual games start although there will probably be a higher demand then too.
We’re not the only ones lately to have noticed that in recent seasons there have been empty seats in the student section. This season that’s going to be a rarity and if it does happen, Duke will be able to put those tickets on line, if it so chooses, and let market forces do their magic.
Whatever happens, it’s beautiful to see students back and excited. Check out what freshman Reima Bash said: “This is what Duke is meant to be. This is how I know I belong here.”’
It’s not just you, Reima.
