In Greensboro Tuesday, Mike Krzyzyzewski took the stage for his (don’t say that word) ACC media day and made light of his retirement, making jokes about his age and memory.
He also talked about AJ Griffin’s knee injury, which he he said is relatively minor (meaning no surgery) but that he’ll have to put in his rehab time.
In more good news, Griffin has already ditched the crutches already so that’s a big positive for his eventual return.
He also spoke of the transition and Jon Scheyer, saying this: “He’s not a coach in waiting. He’s my associate head coach. He’s been with me for eight years. He’s basically going to do the same fantastic job he’s done and then take over and do a fantastic job.”
