Marvin Bagley’s Dad Unloads On The Sacramento Kings

Not a great situation for anyone

When former Blue Devil Marvin Bagley III was drafted, we thought he was a better prospect than Luka Dončić, largely because we saw him for a solid year and watched him do amazing stuff.

So far that hasn’t panned out, though Bagley still has his tremendous gifts. Injuries have made it tough for him though and he barely played last season.

So far this year, Bagley is hitting 11.8 ppg and grabbing eight boards. As the season goes on, he’ll get better.

That doesn't stop his dad from getting frustrated though and he tweeted out that frustration during Sacto’s loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday.

This is what he tweeted: “@SacramentoKings PLEASE trade Marvin Bagley III ASAP! Love - Coach Bagley”

His son’s coach, Luke Walton, had this to say: “My message is always the same: We don’t listen to any of that. It’s us within these walls, us within this locker room. We’re in this together. Good or bad, whatever people are saying, we’ve got to do everything we can to not let that affect what we’re trying to get done here.”

We can understand why Bagley tweeted that out. He wants the best for his son obviously.

This isn't going to help though. His son really doesn’t need to be put between team and family.

Update - the Sacramento dads are very active about now: De’Aaron Fox’s father wants Bagley traded as well.
