Former Blue Devil Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans visited the Minnesota Timberwolves and as is so often the case, the rising young star finished with a bushel of highlights.
He’s regained most of the bounciness and energy he was lacking after his injury and last season’s time in the bubble.
There are some really spectacular plays in here and also just some solid smart basketball.
Take the first play. When the defense collapses on him, Williamson just tosses it to a wide-open Eric Bledsoe.
Then back to spectacle as Williamson takes a rebound coast-to-coast for a dunk.
Then there’s a patented fast rebound and back up.
A few minutes later, there’s a smart pass to an open Steven Adams under the basket.
Then there’s a funny little volleyball play when he pops a pass up and we’ll wrap up with a block where he accidentally spikes it off his own face and runs it down before it can go out of bounds.
Just another day at the office for one of the NBA’s most electrifying young stars.
