Former Blue Devil Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans took on their Big Easy predecessors, now the Utah Jazz, and while the Pelicans lost, Zion Williamson was again massively entertaining.
In this game he shot 14-19 for 32 points - his second 30+ point game in a row - and just punched through Quin Snyder’s defense like it was nothing.
Well not every time. Rudy Gobert is a tremendous defender and he denied Williamson at the rim here. But check out the little trick Williamson puts on Bojan Bogdanovich. As we’ve seen several times recently, it only takes a small tap from Williamson to send someone sprawling. We’re not sure if he’s going to start getting calls for this or if it’s one of those things that NBA officials tend to let slide after a star establishes himself.
It’s fun to watch him pounce on baskets of course, but look for some beautiful passes here and also a tremendous half-court steal.
