The ACC-Big Ten Challenge is obviously, well, a challenge during a pandemic. However, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, it is going to go ahead and probably will be on campuses rather than bubbles. He tweeted this today:

“Sources: The ACC/Big Ten Challenges is moving forward with the plan that it will be played on campus. Current target date is December 8th and 9th.”

That’s nice to hear and is a small step towards some return to normal life. Of course, there is no guarantee that it will take place and at a minimum, attendance will be limited if not banned outright.

Still, we can’t speak for anyone else, and we don’t mean to minimize the implicit risk, but watching some fairly good college basketball games would bring us a certain amount of pleasure that nothing else in this world can possibly match. So we hope it does happen.
