It’s hard to believe the jacket game was six years ago. Do you remember? It was glorious.
Jim Boeheim shot off the bench after a late charge call against his Syracuse team, started to pop his jacket off like he was going in for a fight, then pulled it back up. He just tore into the referees who promptly tossed him.
He followed one official to the scorer’s table, jabbing his finger at him the entire way. It was quite a performance.
It was one of the great Cameron ejections, up there with Seth Greenberg in his first trip to Durham and Gary Williams getting two T’s in the first few minutes in 1998 (that was part of a wild four technical stretch for the Terps).
Boeheim’s ejection really made an impression though. Coach K talked about it afterwards and later, a Syracuse fan bought the jacket for $14,000 dollars.
