We probably caught on to Stephen Curry a bit quicker than a lot of the country because he played at Davidson and was talked about a lot in state before he made national news.
We saw him scare the crap out of Duke and at times toy with the Blue Devils’ defense. He wasn’t nearly as good then as he has become in the NBA, but even so, no one could really touch him.
In these two videos, we see Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski and coaching legend Bob Knight discuss Curry’s game.
Coach K focuses on his time around Curry from Davidson to the time the two spent on Team USA and how he trained himself to overcome superior defenders. That part is really interesting.
Knight, by contrast, looks at Curry in 2009 while at Davidson and focuses on his brilliant passing. He concludes by saying that Curry is as good a passer as college basketball has seen and really backs that up with some insights into technique.
