Here’s a long and interesting article about Duke target Patrick Baldwin.
By some measures the top player in the draft, Baldwin is immensely promising. This article discusses his rise, his potential and his very difficult decision.
A lot of people see him as a Duke lean, but he’s got family ties to Northwestern, a school he adores, and his father coaches at Milwaukee. Toss in Kentucky and UNC and while they might be outside of the first three, it’s still a ton to think about.
Check out this comment from Baldwin on how he’d like to develop his game: “If I could become that elite two-way player, that’s really gonna make me an elite caliber player. There’s a lot of players that can get it done offensively, there’s a lot of players that can get it done defensively as well, but if you could put it together, that’s when you get a really special talent, franchise-changers, game-changers.”
Wherever he ends up, it’s going to be fun to watch him.
