What impact will he have on other recruits?

The Duke Chronicle has two stories up on the surprise commitment of Paolo Banchero. The first is a recap of an interview he did with ESPN and the second is a look at the impact he might have on Duke’s overall recruiting class and in particular classmate Patrick Baldwin.

Having a front court of Baldwin, Banchero and AJ Griffith, all three Top Ten players in the Class of 2021, would be a heck of a start but as the Chronicle points out, Duke is also going to need some backcourt help soon. We can’t know what Jeremy Roach will decided to do after his freshman year but we do know, barring giant murder hornets, earthquakes or killer asteroids that Jordan Goldwire will use his final year of eligibility this season.

So keep an eye on backcourt recruits.

As Goldwire has taught us though, rankings are not nearly as important as hard work.
