With the Pelicans season coming to a disappointing end, people are naturally asking Zion Williamson questions, not least of all about his weight and his end of season play.

Here’s what he had to say: “Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I’m just going to stick to the opinions of the people closest to me and my team, and just go from there.”

Seems like the smart move. Who knows better?

Williamson didn’t play Thursday night as the Pelicans lost to the Magic 133-127. Former Blue Devil Frank Jackson had a career high with 31.

The one good bit of news for New Orleans is that they have a lottery pick in the draft and three second round picks to play with as well. You have to wait for the lottery drawing to have any idea and even then it’s a crapshoot but New Orleans could add a useful player or possibly engineer a trade.

Either way the future is bright.
