Jack White Update

After Duke and during the pandemic, Jack White can’t do the things he wants to do, but he has found a team.

Jack White was a really admirable player for Duke. He worked hard, kept improving and was always a team player. He was impossible to not like.

With the pandemic, like everyone else he has to improvise and change plans.

So for now, he’s signed with Melbourne United and is working towards one of his major ambitions: representing Australia in the Olympics. Here’s what he told the Sidney Morning Herald: “The ultimate goal for my career is that I want to be an Olympian, Melbourne share the same goals for me and will push me to achieve them.

“When the opportunities arise again for the NBA I want to get my foot in the door with some workouts and stuff. I’m fortunate to have had some contact from that end [NBA clubs] so I have it in the back of my mind but at the moment I’m excited to get cracking in the NBL.”

Making it to the NBA won’t be easy but he’s proven that he works hard. He’s also a solid defender and rebounder.

It would be fun to see him in the Olympics with the Boomers and more fun still if Zion Williamson is playing for the US and RJ Barrett for Canada.
