Lance Thomas Getting Free Agent Interest

Former Duke star isn’t done yet

This is pretty cool: Lance Thomas, who has been out of the NBA since being cut by the Brooklyn Nets in September, is getting significant free agent interest, partly because of his three point shooting.

It’s impressive that he’s still getting lots of interest at 32. He’s become a respected pro and when you look back on his freshman year at Duke, he’s really been the epitome of professionalism. As a freshman, despite being a heralded recruit, we don’t think he didn't log a single assist and he certainly wasn’t shooting threes.

By the time he was a senior he had become a formidable leader but still wasn’t drafted despite Duke’s 2010 national championship. He worked his way into the league though and was even a Knicks captain for a time.

He’s really carved out an impressive niche.
