When Steve Forbes took the Wake Forest job, as you may remember, the entire roster (basically) entered the transfer portal.
One promising recruit decided to bail and it looked like Wake was in really serious trouble.
Fast forward and Wake Forest has nearly a full roster and after a Thursday commitment from big man Emmanuel Okpomo.
A somewhat raw talent from Nigeria - he’s only been playing for four years - Okpomo could potentially hold down the lane of defense as he’s supposed to be a good shot blocker.
Now Forbes only has one roster spot left which is a huge change from when Forbes arrived. He hasn’t coached a game yet but at least he has a somewhat competent roster to work with. And he’s sure to wind them up on underdog ideas as well.
