Jeff Capel Nabs A Transfer For Pitt

Sounds like he’s picked up a promising addition

Jeff Capel appears to have picked up a useful late transfer for Pitt as former Miami (Ohio) guard Michael Sibande, after a long pondering, finally picked Pitt.

He’s a 6-4 guard who can score and defend, so he should be a useful pickup. The main question is when he’ll be able to play. He’s not a grad student transfer so theoretically he’ll have to sit next year. Only time will tell.

So what does Sibande bring to the former Duke assistant’s growing program?

“Pitt added a hard nosed dude that can defend at a high level and I can definitely help scoring wise. I’m a shooter and I can fill it up that also likes to get his teammates involved.”

Sibande is from Indianapolis and attended Crispus Attucks High School, which is also Oscar Robertson’s alma mater.

Coincidentally, or perhaps not, Sibande wore #1 at Miami which was Robertson’s number with the Milwaukee Bucks.
