It ain’t over until it’s over, as Yogi Berra famously said, but it may be getting close to over with Jonathan Kuminga and college basketball.
Kuminga has reclassified and graduated high school recently and is looking at his options. Originally he listed Duke, Kentucky, Texas Tech, where his brother is on the team, Auburn and the G-League.
Now he is apparently considering the Australian NBL as well.
He has options and clearly is talented but he’s still thin and young. Playing against older, bigger guys carries opportunity but no guarantees.
That said, it’s his life and his decision so fans should leave him alone and wish him well whatever he decides to do. He seems like a really impressive guy so we’re sure he’ll make an intelligent, thought-out decision.
