Kennedy Chandler is an interesting recruit in several ways. First, he’s from Memphis. Secondly, Memphis doesn’t appear to be a serious contender, which is weird for a kid from that town. And third, Duke, UNC Kentucky and Tennessee are all in hot pursuit.
Well there’s an interesting development in his recruitment: he’s opted to leave Memphis’s Briarcrest Christian for Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas. It’s located about 2 hours and 15 minutes southwest of Lawrence and about 15 minutes outside of Wichita.
It may be a bit of a complication for Tennessee - the Vols were on the opposite end of the state but still a short flight or a middling drive away, close enough to babysit Chandler if they got in a position to do so. Now they’re 13 hours away.
As for the rest, it’s hard to say. The Crystal Ball still has duke at 100 percent though.
