Wes Miller On Steve Forbes And Ty Lawson

In this audio interview, UNCG coach and former Tar Heel Wes Miller talks about what you can expect from former SoCon rival Steve Forbes at Wake Forest and Ty Lawson.

About Forbes, he talks about defense and essentially repeats what Forbes has said about his own program and how he plans to run it.

And about Lawson, who was a UNC teammate for a year, he is cautious. He explains that he hasn’t been in touch and hopes that he isn’t in some kind of personal trouble and that he never had the impression that Lawson was unhappy with UNC. He thought Lawson had a great relationship with Roy Williams and while he saw what the rest of us saw, he isn’t willing to buy it, at least not yet.

He also thinks the whole situation is overblown which may be true. If it is, though, it’s Lawson’s fault for going there.

Then of course he slips into coach speak and says it’s a good example why athletes shouldn’t post many things online. You can almost hear him rehearsing the comments he’ll make to his team later.
