David Cutcliffe may have picked up his quarterback of the future when Riley Leonard of Alabama picked Duke Sunday.

At 6-4 and 200 lbs, he’s the size you look for in a quarterback and he seems pretty happy about choosing Duke:

“I felt like it was just the right fit for me. I think there were a few reasons for that. First, it’s the type of place you can be proud you attended for the rest of your life. It truly is a 40-year decision, not just a four-year decision. Also, I liked the way coach ‘Cut’ took this recruiting process. All the coaches really made it feel like home.”

He was stuck for a bit trying to choose between football and basketball but don’t look for him to walk on for Duke basketball. He’s committed to football.

He’s a rising senior so look for him at Duke in 2021.
