Kevin Durant’s Advice To Quinn Cook After He Went Undrafted

Pretty basic and pretty good

As most of you know, certainly from the recent documentary they worked on together about basketball in Maryland’s Prince George County, former Blue Devil Quinn Cook and NBA great Kevin Durant go way back. They've been friends for a long time.

So this is a pretty cool story about how Durant helped his former Golden State teammate when Cook went undrafted. Some very simple and direct advice: “Bro, you’ve got talent. Just keep working.”

And of course Cook did and it paid off. After leaving Golden State he hooked on with his favorite team of all, the Los Angeles Lakers, the team that he grew up idolizing and watching with his father.

You can take the elite. They’ve all got wonderful lives and great stories. Really though, it’s hard to find anyone in basketball who has a better story than Cook.
