Like everyone else, Canadian star Charles Bediako (6-11/215/2021) has faced limitations due to the pandemic. In his case, as a Top 30 recruit, he hasn’t been able to visit schools or to have coaches visit him, so he’s doing what everyone else has been reduced to: Zoomin’ it.

Bediako had virtual meetings with Duke’s Coach K, Pitt’s Jeff Capel, and a second meeting with Michigan’s Juwan Howard. He’s also talked recently with Maryland, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan State, Tennessee and Alabama.

He’s highly sought after obviously - just look at who’s after him. Her’s what his coach at Ohio’s Andrews Osborne Academy had to say about this young star: “Charles is the ideal 5 in the modern-day game because of his length and athleticism and his continually improving ability to stretch the floor. His speed is what sets him apart from other guys at his position. Once he consistently uses it in transition and in two-man actions on the perimeter, he will be in a class of his own.”

At Duke, with Coach K’s famous metaphor of not limiting a plant with a jar (letting it instead grow to be what it wants to be), Bediako would have a chance to see where his talents could grow. It would be fun to watch.
