You may have heard that college coaches (and some other people affiliated with the game) have put together a PSA to thank essential workers for everything they’ve done during the pandemic.
Appearing here are Duke’s Coach K, Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, UNC’s Roy Williams, Virginia’s Tony Smithers Bennett, Kentucky’s John Calipari, Georgetown’s Patrick Ewing, Dick Vitale and others.
What’s striking is that several of them, uh, ran out of razor blades and let their beards go. Williams in particular has really got one going.
Rick Pitino continues his rehab tour with a brief appearance, Tom Izzo for some reason chose to do his in a dark room with the blinds down and for some reason, Jamie Dixon wanders through.
At the very end, Lou Carnesecca, the former St. John’s coach, says “see you back at the Garden.”
Well at some point, but it doesn’t seem likely too soon.
Carnesecca by the way was born in 1925 which makes him 95 now and he looks pretty great for a guy who’s five years shy of 100.
