We don't remember exactly when “Every Time We Touch,” by the band Cascada, became a Cameron ritual, but it certainly has: we hear it at the beginning of every game.
So it’s extremely cool that Natalie Horler of Cascada reached out to Duke students and helped put together this video.
Actually, we’re guessing Duke probably reached out to her, or someone affiliated with Duke did anyway.
No matter how you look at it though, it was very cool of her to play along and to help put together this video to accompany the now iconic Cameron song.
As we said, we think someone probably reached out to her and with Skype/Facetime/whatever, it wasn’t a hard thing for her to do and was a minimal invasion of her time.
Someone should think big and see if they can invite her or the entire band to Cameron to sing it live. We’re guessing that Duke has a unique relationship to that song and for the band, given Duke’s prominence in basketball, it’s a great marketing opportunity. They might go for it.
