A mature big man, Tapé is definitely going to help Duke.

We should have done this before but better late than never: here are some Patrick Tapé highlights from his Columbia career.

He’s a solid big man but keep in mind that he’s playing against a generally inferior level of competition, at least when you compare the Ivy League to the ACC. In the ACC this season he would have seen Garrison Brooks, Mamadi Diakite, Jay Huff, Olivier Sarr and James Banks, among others.

It’s going to be an adjustment is our point. He’s a solid big man and could be better than what we discern here. And at 240, he’s strong. But there will be an adjustment.
