Does anyone remember Mystery Science Theater 3000?
It was a brilliant concept for its time: a guy was forced to watch bad movies by mad scientists who were observing his reaction. He built some half-baked robots for companionship and they passed the time just ripping movies apart and cracking bad jokes.
The concept was sort of revisited by the ACC Network this year when Mark Richt and company were watching football games in studio and discussing whatever crossed their minds.
Anyway, we mention it because the New Orleans Pelicans are going to have Zion Williamson as a guest commentator when Fox Sports New Orleans rebroadcast the Pelicans-Heat game from March 6th.
We have no idea how he’ll do - we expect fine - but it’s an idea with a lot of potential. They probably need someone to bust Williamson’s chops to really make it work. The perfect guy? Kevin Hart.
