Duke Recruiting: A Top Ten 2022 List To Start Thinking About

Only a sophomore Top Ten but consider it a good starting point

This is by no means a comprehensive or detailed list of the top 2022 prospects and needless to say, things will change a lot over the next couple of years and the years after.

Classic example: in 1977, the top three players in the country were Albert King, Gene Banks and some guy who called himself Magic.

By 1979, Magic Johnson had won a national championship and emerged as the certain top pick in the draft.

Banks, who of course went to Duke, and King, a Maryland alum, both had nice NBA careers but Johnson went on to become a legend.

So while this list gets the top prospect correct (Emoni Bates), the rest of it is up for grabs. There’s no guarantee these guys will start in college, much less make the NBA.

Still, it’s a good way to get familiar with some of the more highly regarded names.
