We didn’t make a big deal about the recent Jayson Tatum/Bradley Beal discussion about Duke being a clean program (Tatum’s opinion) or not (Beal’s inference) because what good does it do?
We know from multiple conversations and sources that the temptations and corruption in college basketball come calling in Durham too - and how hard Duke has worked to keep them at bay.
So while we agree with Tatum, based on our own knowledge, it’s just kind of pointless to try to convince most people.
It’s different when a guy like Christian Dawkins weighs in though as he did in a recent podcast.
Calling in to Pardon My Take...well, here’s the quote from the Duke Chronicle: “On Friday’s episode of Pardon My Take, a popular podcast produced by Barstool Sports, Dawkins called in to discuss a multitude of issues relating to the investigation. During the interview, Dawkins was jokingly asked to say how much money Krzyzewski had paid him in order to keep Duke away from the corruption scandal. Dawkins replied that while he longed for information relating to the Blue Devils, Krzyzewski is ‘just a great person’, implying that Duke has no history of paying high school prospects.”
