Everyone is doing their bit during the Covid-19 crisis even if it’s just keeping your distance and wearing a mask and coughing into your shirt.

Some people are in position to do more than the basics though. Take Kevin Marchetti.

A Duke manager in 1996, Marchetti’s company Lineage Logistics, which deals with food supplies, is working with Coach K and Duke Basketball to donate almost a quarter of a million dollars to the Foodbank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

It’s a pretty cool thing to do, but Lineage has already helped extensively, pledging 100 million meals.

Coach K said that “[a] cool thing for me is bringing great players together, and all of a sudden, it really produces the great team, but more importantly, great results. Today is about bringing two great entities together and we’re going to have a great result.”

We can’t all do that obviously but there are things all of us can do. Find your own way to help even if it’s just checking on a neighbor.
